Dancers in this class are required to have higher hula skills. Dancers are expected to be able to learn at a fast pace and dance in unison. Kumu's recommendation is required. Age 18 and up.

Papa Pikake/Gracious Ladies
Thursday 6:45-8:15pm
This class is for mother/grandmother age ladies with some hula experience. The dancers are expected to know the basic steps and knowledge. Those who are age 55 and up have opportunities to dance in hula competitions in both the US Mainland and Hawaii.

Papa Mokihana/Beginning Ladies
Wednesday 6:45-7:45pm
This is an introductory class for those who have little or no hula experience. This class teaches basic knowledge of hula, such as steps, hand motions, and chanting. Dancers learn to enjoy hula. Age 12+

Papa Hinahina/Seated Hula
Thursday 11:00am-12:00pm
This class is designed for those who love to hula but physically have hard time dancing on the feet. Dancers learn classic/traditional Hawaiian songs, using only upper body while sitting on a chair. Open for all ages and levels.

Papa Kukui/Men
Tuesday 5:30-6:30 PM
This class is open for all men age 12 and up regardless of prior hula experience. Dancers will learn and dance the powerful and strong male style of hula.

Papa Lauae/Intermediate Middle & High School Girls
Monday 7:10-8:15 PM
This class is for girls in 6th to 12th grades who know basic hula steps and motions. Advanced dancers occasionally perform for local businesses, and compete at hula competitions.

Papa Awapuhi/Intermediate-Advanced Girls
Monday 5:30-6:30 PM
Thursday 5:30-6:30 PM
This class is for girls age 5-10. The girls learn more advanced hula. The dancers are required to be able to focus and pay good attention to the lessons. Advanced dancers often have performances for local businesses and compete at hula competitions. Intermediate girls may be asked to do so as well depending on the skill. Kumu's recommendation is necessary to register for this class.

This class is for girls age 4-6. The girls learn the basic steps and hand motions of hula through Hawaiian chants and songs.

This class is for boys age 5 to 11. The boys learn the basic steps and hand motions of hula through Hawaiian chants and songs.

8 classes in a session. Children age 3 to 5 will be introduced to basic Hawaiian language, along with some hula motions and beats. Maximum class size:5
